Betty Friedan tribute Thursday night

Peoria native and feminist movement icon Betty Friedan will be honored Feb. 4, her date of birth and death, at an event at the Lakeview YWCA. Feb. 4, Friedan’s birthday, is rapidly approaching.
The event features a one-woman play written by North Peorian Channy Lyons and presentations on Friedan's accomplishments.
The tribute is free and open to the public 5-7 p.m. Reservations are requested by calling 685-7655, ext. 211.
